The Kapahaka Competition was intensely fought again by all 6 Hapu. Purple started off with a stirring performance followed by an even more stirring performance by Green House. Orange began with a more subdued start building to a wonderful crescendo. Yellow, Blue and Red followed. After a great performance by the prefects combining from all the houses, the judges awarded the top prize for 2009 to Green House. Green performed their kapahaka again and were met by a strong challenge from all the other hapu to close out another great house afternoon's competition. Well done to all the Houses.
