Hockey Clubs hold a Successful Trivial Pursuits Evening The college hockey club ran its annual Trivial Pursuits evening at the end of June which was very well supported by the community. Host for the evening, Viv Wyatt, keep the questions coming in a entertaining manner, and quiz master, Wayne Frost, keep the tables scratching their heads with a broad range of questions
more.. North Harbour / West Auckland Zone Cross Country
A small group of our students competed in this event at Moire Park, Massey on 18 May. This followed their good performances in our College Cross Country in late April. Many of the runners were inexperienced, having not competed at this level before, and ran well to step up to this challenge.

The First and Second Fifteens from The Kings School In Macclesfield- Cheshire- UK played games against the Mahurangi teams on Monday 3rd August. Members of the visiting teams were billeted by Mahurangi students. The Second XV game was a hard fought battle with it eventually ending up a 14 all draw. The First XV game also was closely contested with Mahu just losing to visitors by 2 points.

Mahurangi College’s year nines left for the Kauaeranga Valley. Split into eight groups, each would face two challenges every day- unless you were climbing The Pinnacles. The first day we had to put up the tents as well as do the activities. Everyone was looking forward to dinner, but because we were in charge of cooking it was very char grilled!
